Q: What inspired you to document your story? How did you come up with the title?

 One night in 1998 in prison I was in prayer and praying about my life, past, and future. After I finished praying I thought this life I lived was so confusing and at that point I said I’m going to write a book and call it The Confused Mind Of A Drug Dealer.

Q: Your story paints and honest picture of your evolution from a boy into a man. What are some of the most painful moments you had to re-live writing your book?

How I hurt my children, looking at my city and the condition of our young men, how I played a major roll in their confusion and seeing my son go down the same path

Q. You were candid about the abuse your Mother endured at the hands of your Father. How do you feel that affected you as an adult?

In my adult life, if I ever thought about hitting a woman; I would see the pain my Mother went through and feel my own pain as a child. I would always try to treat any woman that I came in contact with, with the love and respect they deserve

Q. What was most compelling is your insight and understanding of the Bible. I found your walk to Christ and incredible journey. Do you think you would be where you are today Spiritually, had you not went to prison?

I would not be anywhere near where I am in my Spiritual walk at this point in my life had not went to prison. I would have never taken the time out to give God the one on one-time that I did for 5 years while in prison. I tell people the greatest gift God gave me was prison because he saved my soul.

Q. I love the Chapter: $8.00-An-Hour-Ass-Nigga. How do you go from having hundreds of thousands of dollars to and $8.00 an hour ass Nigga?

By not being educated about the life I was living and the money I was making. I didn’t realize that Life would’nt last. I had to accept I would have to start my life over once I came home from prison. By understanding that is not all about money.

Q. I write about Sex and Relationships so I have to talk about your sex-scenes. They were hot…very hot and graphic to the point I had to put the book down a few times. I don’t have any questions on that. I just want to pat you on the back for being an unselfish lover in the bedroom.

Thank you! I think if 90% of men and women never took that part of their relationship for granted, there would be less cheating in relationships. 

Q. How is the book being received by the public and why did you decide to self-publish?

The public is loving the book. A lot of people are saying The Confused Mind Of A Drug Dealer is the best book they have ever read, and that they have learned so much from the book. It is expected to be a Best Seller. I decided to self-publish because it’s so hard to get a publishing deal without an agent. I didn’t want that to be the reason my book did not come to life.
